This role emphasizes accurate material demand, on-time delivery, and cross-functional collaboration.

The ideal candidate has 4+ years in MRP environments, 2+ years in manufacturing or material roles, and relevant CPSM/CPIM credentials, with strong MS Office skills and an independent yet collaborative

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience with a focus on understanding MRP systems.
• 2+ years in a production/manufacturing environment or a material role.
• CPSM or CPIM or equivalent certification.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Strong prioritization and attention to detail in a fast-paced setting.
• Proficiency with MS Word, Excel and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Review purchase requisitions for item accuracy, quantity, and needed date.
• Assign on-hand material to satisfy demand and coordinate with central purchasing.
• Procure items from other Valmont facilities to meet requisitions.
• Process requisitions for Senior Category Buyer when new material is required.
• Monitor estimated delivery and communicate status to site stakeholders.
• Maintain professional relationships with internal customers and stakeholders.
• Develop understanding of production processes and respond to requirements.
• Assist in inventory control and participate in lean initiatives.
