Job summary

Systel is seeking an Industrial Engineer for its Sugar Land, TX facility to design, implement, and refine manufacturing systems for aerospace-focused production. This role connects product design to the floor, translating blueprints into scalable workflows.

The ideal candidate has extensive floor experience, leans methodologies, and a proven ability to drive continuous improvement. You will collaborate with quality, supply chain, and design engineering to meet demanding schedules and quality

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering from an accredited university.
• 10+ years of professional experience in industrial/manufacturing engineering within a complex production environment.
• Hands-on experience on the production floor implementing process improvements and troubleshooting assembly lines.
• Experience in aerospace or automotive sectors with knowledge of manufacturing regulations and quality systems.
• Experience with ruggedized computing hardware is a major asset.

Responsibilities

• Analyze production workflows to reduce waste and improve efficiency using lean methods.
• Design and update facility layouts and workstation ergonomics for safety and space utilization.
• Conduct time studies, establish labor standards, and balance production lines to meet schedules.
• Specify and oversee installation of manufacturing equipment and tooling.
• Collaborate with quality, supply chain, and design engineering to transition new products to production.
