Job summary

nVent is seeking a production leader to direct and mentor a team in a 3PM–11PM shift, ensuring on-time commitments while driving Lean improvements. You will lead daily performance, train staff, and foster a safe, efficient workplace.

A focus on payroll accuracy and alignment with safety programs is essential. The ideal candidate has 3+ years of manufacturing leadership and 2+ years in Lean manufacturing, with a high school diploma or GED; a BA is a plus.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required; BA degree a plus.
• 3+ years manufacturing leadership experience preferred.
• 2+ years experience in Lean manufacturing and applying Lean concepts.

Responsibilities

• Directly lead production employees, including training, directing, performance reviews, and mentoring.
• Handle day-to-day production activities to meet commitments while driving improvements.
• Drive waste elimination and Lean deployment; maintain a clean, safe work environment and support safety programs.
• Review payroll hours weekly and record exceptions as needed.
• Support new process and product development and implement key improvement projects.
