Job summary

nVent is seeking a 2nd shift production supervisor to lead daily manufacturing activities, mentor staff, and drive Lean improvements. You will ensure safety, manage payroll hours, and support new processes and product development in a fast-paced global manufacturing environment.

The role emphasizes a strong safety culture, operational excellence, and delivering on commitments while fostering continuous improvement. Minneapolis-based leadership with a broad portfolio of protective solutions.

Qualifications

• Directly lead production employees, including training, directing, conducting performance reviews, educating, and mentoring on performance.
• Look after day-to-day production activities to ensure commitments are achieved while improvements are being made.
• Handle daily performance through the use of process center communication boards daily.
• Be a change agent and drive out waste throughout the manufacturing operation through the deployment of Lean.
• Ensure a clean and safe working environment for all employees, emphasizing prevention of potential problems and hazards.

Responsibilities

• Review and submit payroll hours weekly and handle exception hours as needed.
• Support new process and product development and implementation.
• Develops key improvement projects and fulfills related duties as needed.
