Job summary

nVent is seeking a 2nd Shift Production Supervisor to lead manufacturing teams and drive lean improvements at our Aberdeen, NC facility. You will mentor staff, manage day-to-day operations, and ensure commitments are met while deploying waste-reduction initiatives.

The role emphasizes safety, payroll accuracy, and collaboration with engineering and quality teams. A background in Lean manufacturing and 3+ years in manufacturing leadership is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 3+ years manufacturing experience, with leadership preferred.
• 2+ years Lean manufacturing experience.

Responsibilities

• Directly lead production employees, including training, directing, conducting performance reviews, educating, and mentoring on performance.
• Oversee day-to-day production activities to meet commitments while improvements are being made.
• Handle daily performance through the use of process center communication boards.
• Be a change agent and drive out waste through Lean methodologies.
• Ensure a clean and safe working environment and support safety programs.
• Review and submit payroll hours weekly, entering exception hours as needed.
• Support new process and product development and implementation.
• Develop key improvement projects and fulfill related duties as needed.
