Job summary

Hach, a Veralto company, seeks a Distribution Area Manager to lead the Distribution department in Romeoville, IL, ensuring daily operations meet customer demands while driving safety, quality, delivery, inventory and cost improvements through Lean methods.

The role reports to the Distribution Operations Manager, with on-site hours and responsibilities including planning, staffing and performance coaching. Strong Excel and English skills are preferred, occasional bilingual ability is a plus.

Qualifications

• 1 year or more of direct management experience.
• Ability to communicate effectively with Sr. Leaders and Associates.
• Scheduling, planning, and project management skills and experience.
• Data and Fact-Based problem solving and reporting skills.
• Lean manufacturing experience (Kaizens, Kanban, root cause counter measures).

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the Distribution department to meet internal and external demands.
• Lead safety, quality, delivery, inventory and cost goals using Lean tools.
• Track Standard of Work and log improvement opportunities.
• Create and execute data-driven action plans to improve performance.
• Develop daily/weekly build/ship plans with order management and labor/materials.
