Job summary

Hach Company, a Veralto member, seeks a Distribution Area Manager for our Romeoville, IL facility. Lead a 30-person team to meet safety, quality, delivery, inventory, and cost goals using Lean tools.

On-site role with typical hours 5:30 am–3:00 pm, with overtime as needed. The role emphasizes daily staff supervision, data-driven planning, and collaboration with HR and order management to optimize labor and materials.

Qualifications

• 1 year or more of direct management experience.
• BA/BS degree a plus.
• Ability to communicate effectively with Sr Leaders and Associates.
• Scheduling, planning, and project management skills and experience, as well as strong time management skills.
• Data and fact-based problem solving and reporting skills.
• Lean manufacturing experience (Kaizens, Kanban, root cause counter measures).
• Basic financial understanding.
• Experience with Inventory management.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English.
• Strong Excel skills (nice to have).
• Bilingual language skills (nice to have).

Responsibilities

• Daily supervision of staff (approx. 30) to ensure internal and external customer demands are met.
• Lead teams in meeting safety, quality, delivery, inventory, and cost goals using Lean Manufacturing tools.
• Track Standard of Work and capture improvement opportunities.
• Create and execute data-driven action plans to improve standard work and performance.
• Work with order management to evaluate orders versus available labor and materials.
• Develop daily and weekly build/ship plans to meet on-time delivery objectives.
• Create and execute policy deployment action plans using Veralto Enterprise System tools.
