Hach Company, part of the Veralto family, seeks a Distribution Area Manager in Romeoville, IL to lead the distribution team and drive continuous improvement using Lean tools. The role demands daily supervision, policy deployment, and collaboration with order management to meet customer demand.

The ideal candidate has 1+ year of direct management experience, a BA/BS is a plus, and strong communication. On-site work with a comprehensive benefit package is offered.

About the role

Reporting to the Distribution Operations Manager, the Distribution Area Manager provides leadership, direction and hands-on involvement for the Distribution department. They plan and execute daily activities to ensure internal and external customer demands are met, while driving continuous improvement of safety, quality, delivery, inventory, and cost through the use of Lean Manufacturing tools. The Distribution Area Manager measures, gives feedback, rewards and/or top-grades associates to ensure that the right talent is on the team. This position is part of the Shipping/Receiving and Distribution team located in Romeoville, IL, and will be onsite in Romeoville, IL. In this role, a typical day will look like Daily supervision of staff (approx. 30) to ensure internal and external customer demands are met. Leading teams in meeting safety, quality, delivery, inventory, and cost goals through the use of Lean Manufacturing tools. Tracking each team's achievement of Standard of Work and ensuring the team records all improvement opportunities. Creating and executing data-driven action plans to improve standard work and performance. Working with order management to evaluate customer orders versus available labor and materials, developing a daily and weekly build/ship plan and meeting on-time delivery objectives. Creating and executing policy deployment action plans across all areas of responsibility using Veralto Enterprise System tools, budget reports, and short- and long-term company goals. Evaluating associates' performance, development plans and merit recommendations; coaching, training and counseling associates to improve performance; working closely with HR to resolve issues and top-grading talent as required to ensure a strong team.

The compensation range for this role is $99,000 - $110,000 USD per year. This job is also eligible for Bonus Pay.
