Job summary

Little Leaf Farms is seeking a production operator to oversee weighing, packaging and labeling of leafy greens. You will operate Ishida scales and packaging equipment, palletize finished cases, and ensure accurate lot/date coding according to harvest specifications.

You must be able to work in refrigerated environments for extended shifts, stand for long periods, and handle basic math and computer tasks. Overtime and weekend work may be required, with training and supervision of department staff

Qualifications

• Ability to work in refrigerated environments for 8+ hour work periods.
• Ability to perform a monotonous task with efficiency over 8+ hour work periods without losing quality.
• Must be able to stand on concrete floors for long period of times.
• Must be able to perform basic math skills/basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee weighing, packaging and labeling of leafy greens.
• Operate scales and packaging equipment; palletize finished cases.
• Ensure labeling and lot/date coding match harvest per shift.
• Read scales and verify case weights per customer specifications.
• Maintain flow of corrugated boxes to filling stage.
• Stack finished cases onto wooden pallets.
• Troubleshoot mechanical issues with maintenance to minimize downtime.
• Enter and maintain production data; attend daily huddles.
