Job summary

UChicago Medicine in Chicago is seeking a Workforce Development Trainer to deliver high-quality training and leadership development across the health system. This onsite role will also coordinate learning at off-site Chicagoland locations and requires being based in the greater Chicago area.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required; advanced degree a plus.
• 5+ years in training, talent development, management/leadership development, workforce development or related.
• 5+ years in consultation and influence roles.
• 5+ years of facilitation and training delivery experience.
• Excellent public speaking and engagement with large audiences.
• Strong storytelling and motivational speaking abilities.
• Highly organized with attention to detail and quality standards.
• Ability to build trust-based relationships with leadership and stakeholders.
• Extensive experience with MS Office, Visio, MS Project, and LMS administration.

Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive training programmes, including lesson plans, materials, and assessments.
• Facilitate interactive and engaging sessions in-person and virtually for employees at all levels.
• Assess learner understanding and adjust training plans as needed.
• Track attendance and ensure compliance where required.
• Evaluate training effectiveness using feedback and metrics.
• Collaborate with department heads to identify training needs and areas for improvement.
• Partner with HR and leadership to align programmes with workforce priorities.
• Identify skill gaps and design initiatives for career progression.
• Support LMS administration and maintain training materials and communications.
