Job summary

Jackson Companies is seeking an Assistant Manager in Training (AIT) to learn all aspects of store operations and grow into a leadership role. You will coach teams, manage expenses, drive sales, oversee merchandising and inventory, and help with deposits and orders.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Open availability to meet a 24/7 operation, including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Past leadership experience supervising teams in retail or food service.
• At least 3 months of customer service experience in retail.
• Strong customer service mindset with a friendly, can-do attitude.
• Valid driver license and reliable transportation preferred.
• Must be of legal age to sell alcohol and tobacco.

Responsibilities

• Provide courteous, attentive service and greet customers.
• Follow company policies and ensure procedures are followed by staff.
• Suggest purchases and promote store specials to increase sales.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the store and facilities.
• Assist in training new employees and overseeing daily operations.
• Manage food service and beverage programs to maximize sales and minimize loss.
• Prepare deposits and assist in weekly product orders when needed.
• Respond to emergencies when the Store Manager is unavailable.
• Operate register and other store equipment as required.
