Job summary

Greater Washington Urban League is seeking a Workforce Learning and Career Coaching Manager to design and lead workforce development programs that advance meaningful employment. You will deliver workshops, provide individualized coaching, and build strong employer and community partnerships to meet labor market needs.

You will guide program quality, manage teams, and ensure data-informed improvements while fostering equity, inclusion, and participant success across all initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Education, Adult Learning, Workforce Development, Business Administration, Organizational Development, Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, Public Administration, or related field.
• Master's degree in Adult Education, Organizational Leadership, Counseling, Workforce Development, Business Administration, Public Administration, or related field preferred.
• Relevant professional certifications such as GCDF, CCSP, CWDP, or comparable credentials are a plus.
• 5 years of progressive experience in business management and administration with significant experience managing a large team, especially in a nonprofit.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate workforce readiness workshops and professional skills training.
• Provide one-on-one career coaching and develop individualized employment plans.
• Coordinate training schedules, enrollment, and workshop logistics; track outcomes.
• Engage with employer partners and community organizations to align training with labor market needs.
• Mentor facilitators and contribute to curriculum development; promote DEI across programs.
