Urban League of Metropolitan Seattle seeks a Youth Engagement Coordinator – Career Navigator to assist 16–24 year-olds, especially those disconnected from school or work, in finding education, training, and employment opportunities. The role emphasizes culturally responsive coaching, planning, and wraparound supports to promote economic mobility.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor’s degree in related field preferred.
• 1–3 years of experience in youth development, career coaching, workforce programs, or case management.
• Knowledge of career pathways, training systems, apprenticeships, and the Seattle-area labor market.
• Understanding of positive youth development and equity-focused coaching models.
• Ability to work effectively in diverse, fast-paced, community-centered environments.
• Strong relationship-building, communication, and motivational skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with Salesforce or similar databases preferred.
• Punctuality and ability to build relationships and trust quickly.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized coaching, assessments, career planning, and wraparound support.
• Serve as a hub of guidance in partnership with schools, employers, colleges, and social service agencies.
• Help youth navigate systems and build economic mobility toward stable career and education paths.
