Liberty Mutual Insurance is seeking a Claims Team Manager to lead a Workers' Compensation claims team. The role emphasizes coaching staff, optimizing claim outcomes, and maintaining strong relationships with agents and policyholders.

The position requires mentoring talent, driving continuous improvement, and ensuring compliance with claims standards. This is primarily on-site with periodic office visits on the West Coast.

Qualifications

• Advanced knowledge of Workers' Compensation Claims investigation, loss assessment, reserving, insurance legal and regulatory environment, litigation and fraud awareness.
• Proven ability to manage teams, communicate clearly, plan and organize work, and analyze problems.
• Experience leading claims teams and managing performance to meet quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Supervise day-to-day operations for the claims staff, set priorities, assign work, and coach staff on review, analysis, negotiation and settlement of claims.
• Build a high performing team through recruiting, onboarding, development, and regular performance coaching.
• Promote continuous improvement and ensure use of tools and standard work within the Liberty Management System.
• Maintain internal and external relationships with agents, brokers and policyholders.
• Lead claim reviews, present to clients, and oversee file management including reserves and payments.
• Monitor data analytics to track production, inventory, and quality, and report on team performance.
