Job summary

Liberty Mutual Insurance seeks a Claims Team Manager to lead a Workers' Compensation unit on the West Coast. You will coach and develop a high-performing team, oversee claims quality, and drive process improvements to deliver exceptional service.

This role requires strategic leadership, strong collaboration with agents and policyholders, and compliance with claims standards. Occasional travel to an office is required, with a hybrid work arrangement.

Qualifications

• Advanced knowledge of Workers' Compensation claims investigation, loss assessment, reserving, insurance legal and regulatory environment, litigation and fraud awareness.
• Experience leading teams and coaching staff to higher performance.
• 6+ years of related experience and a BS/BA degree.

Responsibilities

• Supervises day-to-day claims staff operations, prioritizing and coaching for review, analysis, investigation, negotiation and settlement.
• Builds a high performing team through hiring, onboarding and ongoing development.
• Leads continuous improvement using data analytics to monitor production, inventory and quality compliance.
• Manages relationships with agents, brokers and policyholders and serves as primary contact.
• Oversees claims files and performs manager reviews on open inventory and training needs.
