Job summary

Didlake, Inc. is seeking a Lead Worker-Janitor to provide day-to-day guidance, training, and oversight to ensure contract requirements are met. You will inspect work quality, promote safety, and escalate issues as needed, while leading a team and coordinating tasks across sites.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, at least one year of relevant floor maintenance experience, and six months of prior leadership. A valid driver's license and US citizenship are required for this role.

The Lead Worker‑Janitor supports individuals with disabilities by providing day‑to‑day guidance, training, monitoring, and coaching to ensure assigned work is completed according to contract requirements. The role is responsible for inspecting work quality, promoting and training on safety procedures and equipment use, resolving employee and customer concerns, and escalating issues when needed. This position requires strong initiative, reliability, adaptability, teamwork, and adherence to company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

What You Will Do

• Completes required training and reviews, follows, and provides training on Company Custodial Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), including proper use of equipment and supplies.
• Provides day‑to‑day leadership, guidance, and oversight of assigned employees, including onboarding and training new hires on procedures, routes, contract requirements, and SOP adherence.
• Performs quality control inspections, documents work completed, maintains inspection records, and submits reports and corrective action documentation through electronic software.
• Ensures compliance with safety standards and guidelines, including the proper use of materials, equipment, and personal protective equipment.
• Addresses operational issues by communicating work observations, referring facility or customer complaints to the appropriate supervisor, and supporting overall contract performance.
• May transport teams, supplies, and equipment to work sites and safely operate and perform preventative maintenance on floor care equipment.

Education & Experience

• High school diploma and/or GED preferred.
• One (1) year, relevant experience in commercial floor maintenance services
• Six (6) months prior leadership experience required.

Skills & Abilities

• US Citizenship is required.
• A valid REAL ID is required to enter this worksite.
• Have a valid driver’s license and be insurable under Didlake’s automobile policy. Requirements include - but are not limited to - a minimum of 3 years of licensed driving and being at least 25 years old
• Possess the ability to pass a background check and maintain a clearance.
• Strong written communication skills, including the ability to read, write, and comprehend simple instructions, safety rules and regulations, equipment operating manuals, and Company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Ability to present information both orally and in writing to small groups of people.
• Ability to apply good judgment in fulfilling responsibilities and demonstrate the ability to direct personnel in the performance of daily tasks.
• Ability to interact effectively and positively with employees with disabilities.
• Working knowledge of general cleaning products and equipment, including maintaining proficiency in the safe operation, care, and upkeep of floor machines and all electrical and battery‑driven floor cleaning equipment, as demonstrated through assessment.
• Possess basic math skills.
