Job summary

Capital One is seeking a Lead Platform Engineer with a Workday focus (HCM) to drive functional configuration, security, and reporting across HR systems. You will collaborate with product owners, translate business priorities, and deliver scalable Workday solutions in a fast-paced environment.

The role emphasizes continuous learning, documentation, and production support, with opportunities to influence HR technology strategy while aligning with Capital One's standards and processes.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent certification.
• At least 6 years of experience with Workday functional configuration tasks.
• At least 4 years of experience configuring business processes within the Workday platform.
• At least 2 year of experience with calculated fields or custom reports.

Responsibilities

• Work with product owners to understand desired application capabilities and testing scenarios
• Understand and translate the priorities of the business while integrating HR value proposition and strategies to meet the needs of the business
• Deliver solutions in Workday across HCM, Recruiting, Compensation, Payroll and Benefits through efficient and organized processes while maintaining high standards
• Effectively communicate across team, Product Owner, stakeholders and influence solutions across business partners
• Identify opportunities for process improvements, collaborate with HR partners to provide innovative ideas and insights to redesign business processes that will optimize business results.
• Continually research, test and stay up-to-date on Workday updates, fixes and capabilities
• Build & maintain thorough documentation for system implementation
• Primary contact for questions related to how the system works from a business and a technical perspective
• Provide production support for Workday by troubleshooting problems, testing, and working with the business to resolve issues
