Job summary

The Michaels Companies, Inc. is seeking a Manager - HRIS Programs in Irving, TX to lead the HRIS team and own the day‑to‑day Workday ecosystem across modules including Core HCM, Recruiting, and Talent & Performance.

You will supervise a technical team, drive process improvements, and partner with HR, IT, and Payroll to scale operations. You will manage releases, ensure SOX controls, and craft advanced reports and dashboards to support enterprise data needs.

Qualifications

• Workday Core HCM experience is strictly required.
• Hands‑on configuring and managing multiple Workday modules (Recruiting, Talent & Performance, Security, and Advanced Reporting).
• Advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, data cleaning).
• Ability to design and build complex custom reports, calculated fields, and dashboards in Workday.

Responsibilities

• Own Workday modules including Core HCM, Recruiting, Talent & Performance, Security, Reporting, and Release Management.
• Oversee Workday releases, test updates, and ensure Change Control and SOX compliance.
• Lead and mentor HRIS team members and collaborate with cross‑functional partners.
• Develop and deliver complex reports, dashboards, and analytics for enterprise needs.
