Job summary

The Phoenix Group in Boston is seeking a Senior Workday HRIS Analyst to provide functional and technical support for HR applications and Workday modules. You will drive process improvements, manage testing and data integrity, and support HR technology upgrades across Absence, Time Tracking, and Payroll.

You will lead cross-functional efforts with IT, Finance and HR stakeholders, ensuring secure access, accurate data, and compliant processes in a dynamic HR tech environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 3–6 years of HR and HRIS system experience with HR, Benefits and Payroll knowledge.
• Experience with HRMS implementation and project management.
• Hands-on Workday experience: Payroll, Time Tracking and Absence.
• Strong analytical skills and HR data understanding.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Customer-service mindset and ability to support system users.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Act as a primary technical support analyst for Workday Absence, Time Tracking, and Payroll.
• Provide functional and technical support and troubleshoot Workday issues.
• Support testing, data validation, and report writing to ensure data integrity.
• Identify process improvements to optimize HR system value.
• Manage Workday system access and security; perform data audits.
• Develop and maintain user procedures and HR process documentation.
• Lead projects and coordinate with IT, Finance, HR, and vendors.
• Participate in planning, testing, and implementation of Workday upgrades.
• Stay current on HR technology trends and regulatory requirements (HIPAA, GDPR).
• Ensure HR data privacy and protection in line with standards.
