Job summary

PTR Global is seeking a Lead Software Engineer to join the HRIT team and drive Workday Extend initiatives for Compensation. You will design, develop, and deploy Extend applications and integrations, while guiding a team through complex technical challenges in an Agile setup.

The role requires deep Workday Extend experience, strong knowledge of Workday Compensation processes, and collaboration with HR stakeholders to deliver compliant solutions for US and global projects.

Qualifications

• 4+ years software engineering experience.
• 2+ years HR systems experience (Workday, PeopleSoft, Oracle, or SAP).
• 2+ years business systems analysis or design experience.
• 2+ years technology release, deployment, or implementation experience.
• 1+ year Workday development experience, including Workday integrations and reporting.
• 2+ years hands-on Workday Extend development experience.
• Experience developing and supporting Workday integrations using EIB, Core Connectors, Workday Studio, Report Writer, and Advanced Reporting.
• Strong knowledge of Workday Compensation processes.
• Experience working in an Agile delivery environment.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, leadership, and stakeholder-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead moderately complex technical initiatives and deliverables within the Workday Engineering domain.
• Design, develop, configure, test, debug, document, and deploy Workday Extend applications and related solutions.
• Build, enhance, and maintain Workday integrations, including EIBs, Core Connectors, Workday Studio, and reporting solutions.
• Support Workday Compensation processes and deliver technical enhancements aligned with business, policy, and compliance requirements.
• Participate in sprint planning, effort estimation, backlog refinement, and release planning.
• Analyze and resolve moderately complex technical challenges involving systems, integrations, and business processes.
• Lead projects and serve as an escalation point for technical issues.
• Provide technical guidance, direction, and support to less experienced team members.
• Collaborate with product owners, HR stakeholders, engineers, analysts, managers, and other partners to achieve delivery goals.
• Support upgrades, releases, implementations, and ongoing production maintenance.
