Job summary

Allstate is seeking an experienced Lead Engineer to drive the Workday Compensation capability, including Core and Advanced Compensation. You will act as both technical leader and people manager, guiding configuration, testing, release management, and continuous improvement for the Compensation portfolio.

You will collaborate with Digital Product Managers and cross-functional teams to deliver compliant, scalable compensation solutions while ensuring a high-quality employee and manager experience

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Workday experience with Core/Advanced Compensation, EIB, reporting, dashboards, and calculated fields.
• Experience leading or mentoring technical teams.
• Strong understanding of compensation administration, salary planning, incentive programs, and Total Rewards processes.
• Experience gathering requirements, designing solutions, testing functionality, and supporting production environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, configuration, and optimization of Workday Core and Advanced Compensation.
• Partner with Digital Product Managers to align compensation solutions with business objectives.
• Provide technical input into product strategy, estimation, and delivery planning.
• Ensure solutions meet Workday best practices, security, and enterprise standards.
• Drive continuous improvement to simplify processes and improve user experience.
• Lead and develop a team of Product Engineers for Workday Compensation.
• Provide technical leadership on complex configuration challenges.
• Collaborate with platform consultants, engineers, and cross-functional teams for solution delivery.
• Track operational, quality, and delivery metrics and overall product health.
• Oversee testing activities including functional, regression, integration, and UAT.
