Job summary

Aon plc in Washington, DC is seeking an experienced Workday Adaptive Planning Architect to lead architecture, design authority, and hands-on technical delivery for major FP&A initiatives. You will partner with Finance, FP&A, and HR to implement budgeting, forecasting, workforce planning, and scenario modeling across the enterprise.

You will drive governance, data modeling, and integration efforts, owning the evaluation of new Adaptive Planning capabilities and ensuring scalable, secure solutions

Qualifications

• 7+ years of FP&A, EPM, or enterprise planning platforms experience.
• 5+ years of hands-on Workday Adaptive Planning experience as architect/lead.
• Deep expertise in data modeling, system integration, and performance optimization.
• Strong knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, workforce planning, and scenario analysis.
• Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in IS, Finance, Accounting, CS, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Implement the Workday Adaptive Planning strategy, roadmap, governance, and lifecycle management across budgeting, forecasting, and scenario analysis.
• Lead the design of complex Adaptive Planning solutions ensuring data integrity and seamless information flow.
• Provide hands-on technical leadership from discovery to implementation and postproduction support.
• Translate business requirements into technical specifications and model architecture.
• Architect multidimensional planning models including dimensions, versions, and hierarchies.
• Oversee integrations between Workday Adaptive Planning and Workday Financials, ERP, and BI platforms.
• Manage security architecture, user provisioning, and access controls.
• Evaluate and adopt new Adaptive Planning capabilities including AI/LLM features.
