Job summary

Aon plc is seeking an experienced Workday Adaptive Planning Architect to drive the strategy, roadmap, and architecture of our enterprise planning platform. You will lead design, integration, and governance across budgeting, forecasting, workforce planning, and reporting, partnering with Finance, FP&A, and HR teams.

You will translate complex business needs into scalable technical solutions, optimize planning models, and oversee security, deployment, and performance.

Qualifications

• Seven+ years of FP&A or enterprise planning experience.
• Five+ years hands-on Workday Adaptive Planning experience as architect/lead admin/consultant.
• Deep data modeling, system integration, and performance optimization in a sophisticated enterprise environment.
• Strong knowledge across adaptive modeling, workforce planning, and reporting.
• Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent; Workday Pro Adaptive Planning Certification preferred.
• Familiarity with Workday and ERP/HCM integrations preferred.
• PMI/Agile certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Implement the vision, roadmap, governance, and lifecycle management of the Workday Adaptive Planning platform; define planning technology strategies.
• Lead the design of complex, scalable Adaptive Planning solutions with data integrity.
• Provide hands-on technical solutioning from discovery through implementation and postproduction support.
• Translate business requirements into technical specifications and model architecture; optimize for FP&A and other teams.
• Architect multidimensional planning models and structures (dimensions, versions, hierarchies).
• Manage security architecture, user provisioning, and access controls.
• Evaluate new Adaptive Planning capabilities, including AI/LLM features and bi-annual releases.
• Serve as enterprise design authority for planning architecture and governance.
