Job summary

SLB is seeking a proactive WL Field Engineer for Midland, Texas. You will lead wireline operations, ensuring reliable service delivery and safety across all job phases. The role emphasizes operational planning, field execution, and mentoring junior staff while maintaining high standards of safety and performance.

You will collaborate with engineering and customer teams to plan and execute complex wellsite operations, manage risks, and drive continuous improvement in service quality and results.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering field required; equivalent industry experience considered.
• Minimum 3 years in wireline field operations with direct job execution and customer-facing service.
• Willingness to travel frequently to remote locations and valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Execute wireline operations safely and efficiently while ensuring customer expectations are met.
• Lead technical decision-making during field activities and provide operational guidance at the wellsite.
• Collaborate with engineering, operations, and customer teams to support successful job planning and execution.
• Maintain compliance with company, regulatory, and operational requirements through field verification and adherence to established standards.
• Develop and strengthen customer relationships by providing technical support and promoting service excellence.
• Identify operational risks, troubleshoot field challenges, and implement corrective actions to improve performance.
• Support service quality initiatives by reviewing operational results and driving continuous improvement efforts.
• Mentor and assist junior engineers and field specialists in the development of technical and operational competencies.
