Job summary

SLB is seeking a proactive WL Field Engineer for Midland, Texas. You will lead wireline operations, ensuring reliable service delivery and safety across all job phases. You will collaborate with engineering and customer teams to plan and execute complex wellsite operations, manage risks, and drive continuous improvement in service quality and results.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering field required; equivalent industry experience considered.
• Minimum 3 years in wireline field operations with direct job execution and customer-facing service.
• Willingness to travel frequently to remote locations and valid driver's license.

SLB is seeking a proactive and safety-focused WL Field Engineer to join our Wireline team in Midland, Texas. In this role, you will be responsible for leading the technical execution of wireline operations, ensuring reliable service delivery, and supporting customers throughout all phases of the job lifecycle. You will play a key role in operational planning, field execution, and maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and performance.

We are looking for someone who performs effectively in demanding operational environments, builds strong customer relationships, and demonstrates sound technical judgment. This position offers the opportunity to contribute to complex wellsite operations, support business growth through customer engagement, and provide guidance to less experienced field personnel while driving continuous operational improvement.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline is required. Equivalent industry experience may be considered.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in wireline field operations with direct involvement in job execution and customer-facing service delivery.
• Demonstrated experience managing complex wireline operations in land and/or offshore environments.
• Strong understanding of wireline technologies, wellsite operations, and industry safety practices.
• Experience in operational risk assessment, troubleshooting, and performance optimization.
• Proven ability to provide leadership and guidance within field-based operational teams.
• Strong communication, customer engagement, and relationship management skills.
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel frequently to remote operational locations.
• Knowledge of SLB service delivery processes, wellsite inspections, and compliance programs is considered an asset.
• Must be legally authorized to work and reside in the United States without company sponsorship.
