Job summary

SLB is seeking a proactive WL Field Engineer to join our Wireline team in Midland, Texas. This role leads the technical execution of wireline operations, ensuring reliable service delivery and supporting customers throughout the job lifecycle.

You will play a key role in planning, field execution, and maintaining high safety, quality, and performance standards while mentoring junior engineers and field specialists.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum of 3 years of wireline field operations experience.
• Experience managing complex wireline operations on land and/or offshore.
• Strong knowledge of wireline technologies and safety practices.
• Willingness to travel to remote sites.

Responsibilities

• Execute wireline operations safely and efficiently while meeting customer expectations.
• Lead technical decision-making during field activities and provide guidance at the wellsite.
• Collaborate with engineering, operations, and customer teams for job planning and execution.
• Maintain compliance with company, regulatory, and operational requirements through field verification.
• Develop customer relationships by providing technical support and promoting service excellence.
• Identify operational risks, troubleshoot field challenges, and implement corrective actions.
• Support service quality initiatives by reviewing results and driving continuous improvement.
• Mentor and assist junior engineers and field specialists.
