Job summary

Pattern Energy is seeking a Lead Wind Technician to support the Facility Manager across site operations, focusing on troubleshooting and hands-on field support. You will lead maintenance documentation, reporting, and safety programs to assure reliable turbine operation.

The role involves up-tower work, data-driven performance analysis, and collaboration with Operations Control. Travel to other wind sites in the U.S. or Canada may be required.

Qualifications

• Four to five years in power generation, wind or related fields.
• Experience with CMMS and ERP platforms such as SAP/Oracle/AX-Dynamics.
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting in field settings.
• Ability to climb tall turbine towers and lift equipment as required.
• Willingness for travel to other wind sites in the U.S. or Canada.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership to ensure safe, reliable facility operation.
• Maintain operations data in CMMS and ensure accurate reporting.
• Support outage planning and field work with troubleshooting in nacelle/hub.
• Assist with environmental, safety, and regulatory program adherence.
• Perform up-tower inspections and turbine performance analyses.
