Job description

Pattern Energy is a leading renewable energy company that develops, constructs, owns, and operates high-quality wind and solar generation, transmission, and energy storage facilities.

Key Accountabilities
  • Support the Facility Manager in all areas of Pattern operations, ensuring a positive working environment by maintaining discipline, morale, and employee relations.
  • Lead the use of maintenance documentation, reporting tools, and performance systems necessary for reporting and performance improvement.
  • Provide hands‑on technical support and supervision for wind generation equipment, power delivery systems, and other facility civil work, building maintenance, and upkeep.
  • Enable teammates to work safely and stop work as needed, supporting an injury‑free workplace culture by facilitating safe work habits, hazard recognition, risk assessment, peer‑to‑peer feedback, and the proper use of human performance tools.
  • Manage site‑specific and corporate procedures, policies, training programs, safety programs, and related updates as required.
  • Balance and support the facility's public relations and community relationships.
  • Maintain regulatory compliance with all Federal, state, and local regulations and associated permits, ensuring obligations are met using the CMMS.
Required Work Experience
  • Electrical or Mechanical troubleshooting experience with power delivery and wind applications.
  • Proficiency with computers and Microsoft Office.
Education
  • Diploma degree in a technical or business‑related field, or equivalent.
  • Electrical/Mechanical apprenticeship or Red Seal qualification.
Additional Requirements
  • Must reside within 60 miles of the facility’s O&M location.
  • Must be able to climb turbine towers of 250 feet or more.
  • Must be willing and able to work under high workloads, stressful conditions, physically demanding settings, variable hours, travel, climbing, harsh temperatures, extreme driving conditions, and 24/7 shifts.
  • Must have a general understanding of NERC and CIP.
Compensation and Benefits

Expected starting pay range: $38.00‑$47.00 per hour (USD). The range is an estimate; actual pay may be above or below depending on factors such as location, work experience, certifications, and education. Compensation program includes a bonus structure for full‑time employees at all levels.
