Job summary

Yamaha Motor Corporation, USA is seeking a Relationship Management Manager to lead Wholesale Relationship Managers, drive portfolio performance and service levels across YMUS/YMFUS. You will oversee collections, risk management, and dealer relationships while building stronger teams and procedures.

The role requires a finance/business background, strong communication, and a track record of customer service excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, finance or accounting preferred.
• Minimum 2 years' experience in commercial finance.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• SAP experience a plus.
• Experience managing troubled and/or problem accounts is a plus.
• Ability to understand and interpret financial statements.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to multitask.
• Proven track record of providing excellent customer service.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of Wholesale Relationship Managers – hire, manage, motivate, evaluate and develop staff on portfolio control and risk management operations.
• Oversee the assigned portfolio and portfolios of direct reports, including customer service and collections.
• Oversee daily AR adjustments and related transactions ensuring JSOX compliance.
• Resolve troubled accounts through liquidation, rehabilitation or charge-off.
• Partner with Legal and Risk groups to assign accounts for repossession and recovery.
• Develop departmental procedures and implement changes to drive business results.
• Develop and implement key account strategy to grow YMUS and YMFUS business.
• Assist with training and development of Wholesale Finance team members.
• Represent the YMFUS wholesale group at dealer events and meetings.
