Job summary

WSP is seeking a full-time wetland ecologist to join the Earth and Environment Sector – North Mountain Environmental Impact Assessment and Permitting group. You’ll lead wetland delineation and support related wildlife and botanical surveys across MT, WY, CO, UT, ID, WA, OR, and surrounding areas.

The role requires strong communication, independent work, and willingness to travel throughout the region, with emphasis on coordinating with state and federal regulators.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Wildlife Biology, Environmental Science, Ecology, or related field.
• 3–5+ years of field experience leading and permitting aquatic resource delineation.
• Experience with USACE protocols and state survey requirements for aquatic resources.

Responsibilities

• Lead wetland field delineation and permitting across the North Mountain Region.
• Support biological field surveys including rare plants and wildlife species.
• Serve as lead ecologist for NEPA and state permitting requirements.
• Build and support environmental project teams for energy and transportation projects.
• Uphold safety and company conduct policies; travel regionally as needed.
