Job summary

WSP seeks a full-time wetland ecologist to lead field surveys and permitting across multiple states, including Wyoming, in the North Mountain region. You will work with a team to conduct wetland delineations under USACE guidelines and support wildlife and botanical surveys with a focus on accuracy and regulatory compliance.

The role requires strong communication, independent work ethic, and willingness to travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Wildlife Biology, Environmental Science, Ecology, or related field.
• Five+ years leading and permitting aquatic resource delineation.
• Five+ years of consulting work on linear corridor projects (pipelines or transmission).
• Familiar with USACE protocols and state survey requirements.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead wetland delineation and permitting across the North Mountain Region (MT, WY, CO, UT, ID, WA, OR).
• Support biological field surveys including rare plants and wildlife.
• Serve as lead ecologist for NEPA and state permitting efforts.
• Collaborate with a larger project team and ensure safety policies are followed.
