The role emphasizes training new team members, driving efficiency, and maintaining organized records while promoting a collaborative environment on the shop floor.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3+ years of welding knowledge.
• Ability to operate a forklift.
• Proficient reading complex prints and standard specifications.
• Ability to train others in manufacturing per shop drawings.
• Strong record-keeping, inventory, and attention to detail.
• Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Capability to work independently toward team goals and good communication.
• Willingness to work overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily pre-shift meetings and communicate throughput.
• Assign and communicate daily work; scan prints and schedules.
• Operate forklift to move parts and maintain line flow.
• Complete foreman's daily report.
• Identify performance issues and document findings.
• Coordinate with other departments (small parts, paint, galvanizing).
• Maintain accurate daily records and documents.
• Lead training of new employees.
• Maintain safe work environment and PPE compliance.
• Coordinate scheduling to cover vacancies.
• Track reject tags and coordinate rework.
• Order supplies as needed.
