Metalcraft of Mayville seeks a Weld/Shift Production Lead to oversee 2nd or 3rd shift, guiding weld operations and maintaining high standards of quality and safety.

The role involves assisting the Supervisor, coordinating teams across departments, and driving continuous improvements in a busy manufacturing environment. A strong emphasis on communication, organization, and lead-by-example is required.

Qualifications

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to interact with management and peers.
• Ability to lead a team and coordinate work with other departments.
• Experience reading blueprints and interpreting welding symbols is preferred.
• Basic computer knowledge and experience with standard software.
• High school diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
• Demonstrated attention to detail and ability to multitask.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Supervisor in directing welders and department staff as needed.
• Coordinate 2nd/3rd shift work to ensure parts are made correctly and on schedule.
• Communicate process changes and support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with quality policies and report non-compliance to Supervisors.
• Support cost reduction and shop efficiency improvements.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area and equipment.
