Leigh & Co. Events is seeking a Lead Wedding Coordinator for the 2026 season and beyond. This on-site contract role offers a flexible schedule and on-the-job training. You will lead wedding planning services, coordinating with clients and our team to execute flawless ceremonies and celebrations.

Applicants should have 2+ years of wedding or event planning experience, strong communication, and the ability to carry 30 lbs. Weekend availability is essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• 2 years experience as a wedding planner or event planner.
• Ability to work weekends is essential.
• Must have strong communication skills and be detail oriented.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Must be able to carry and lift 30 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Attend final details call with clients ~6 weeks before wedding to confirm logistics and timeline.
• Lead and facilitate the ceremony rehearsal the day before.
• Serve as primary on-site advocate for the couple and handle challenges.
• Oversee ceremony and reception setup per design and playbook.
• Manage full wedding-day execution from vendor arrival to breakdown.
• Greet and direct vendors, communicate setup instructions to ensure alignment.
• Coordinate placement of escort cards, menus, table numbers, and decor.
• Support wedding party and family with timing cues and day-of needs.
• Ensure end-of-event items are packed and accounted for.
• Proactively manage last-minute changes to maintain guest experience.
