Job summary

Apex Companies is seeking a Senior Project Engineer to support our Water/Wastewater practice across New England, including CT. This hybrid role involves leading technical efforts on drinking water and wastewater projects, coordinating with project teams, and presenting to clients on project deliverables.

Ideal candidates have a BS in Civil/Environmental Engineering, 5+ years of relevant design experience, and PE licensure or progress toward licensure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering or related engineering discipline.
• 5+ years of drinking water, water supply or wastewater systems design experience.
• Registered Professional Engineer or working towards licensure within one year.
• Proven writing skills for technical memoranda, reports, proposals and contracts.
• Supervisory skills and ability to train junior staff.

Responsibilities

• Assist Project Manager in planning, coordination, and execution of projects.
• Monitor budgets and performance on a weekly basis.
• Develop scopes, fees, and schedules with sub-consultants.
• Lead technical coordination among disciplines and subcontractors.
• Support construction administration tasks and client meetings.
