Job summary

Kimley-Horn's Rogers, Arkansas office is seeking a Civil Engineer with 4+ years of experience to join our Water/Wastewater and Utilities team. This is not a remote position and you will design water transmission and distribution systems, pumping stations, and treatment facilities.

You will manage project tasks, coordinate with clients and regulatory agencies, and mentor less experienced staff while delivering high-quality plans on schedule and within budget.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of relevant engineering design experience.
• Professional Engineering (PE) license or ability to obtain within 12 months.
• Municipal engineering experience including pump stations, pipelines, water/wastewater facilities.
• Experience with hydraulic modeling tools (WaterGEMS, SewerGEMS, InfoWater).
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Self-motivated with ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Entrepreneurial spirit with potential to lead a practice and manage clients.

Responsibilities

• Design water transmission and distribution systems, pumping stations, and treatment facilities.
• Manage project tasks, design, permitting, and coordination with staff.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and clients to complete projects.
• Maintain high-quality plans and review others’ work.
• Create work plans and manage budgets set by clients.
• Attend meetings with clients and regulatory agencies to address requirements.
• Monitor progress, budgets, and schedules.
• Work with engineers, designers, jurisdictions, and contractors on various projects.
• Build internal and external professional relationships.
