The City of Charlotte is seeking a Treatment Plant Maintenance Supervisor to oversee daily maintenance on transmission, distribution, and water treatment systems. You will supervise mechanical staff, manage work orders in the CMMS, and coordinate with engineering and operations to ensure reliability and safety.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, 7 years of wastewater maintenance experience (1 year in supervision), and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Seven years of related work experience maintaining wastewater equipment and one year of supervisory experience.
• A valid driver’s license is required.
• NC One Water Maintenance Technologist IV certification desired, or must be obtained within 7 years.
• NC One Water Distribution A certification desired, or must be obtained within 7 years.
• Ability to lead and mentor staff.
• Knowledge of maintenance software and CMMS.

Responsabilités

• Oversees daily maintenance work activities, coordinating with Engineering, Field Operations and Water Treatment staff.
• Generates, schedules, and tracks work orders using the CMMS.
• Assists staff with maintenance activities including troubleshooting and repairs.
• Provides oversight of mechanical staff, including staffing decisions and mentoring.
• Ensures materials and parts are available by preparing scopes and purchase orders.
• Responds to emergencies and coordinates staff/contractors.
• Participates in system upgrades and safety training.
• Takes a lead role in safety and ensures compliance with safety rules.
