Job summary

Building Plastics, Inc. is seeking a Warehouse Supervisor in Houston to support daily warehouse operations, supervise associates, and drive productivity and accuracy. You will work closely with the Warehouse Manager to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant material handling and inventory control.

The role requires strong leadership, organization, and communication skills, with flexibility for overtime and travel as needed to maintain branch performance.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent work experience required.
• 6 months supervisory experience in distribution/warehouse.
• Proficiency with material handling equipment (forklifts, reach trucks, order pickers).
• Knowledge of cycle counting and inventory control procedures.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Direct warehouse associates with daily direction and support.
• Assign, prioritize, and direct work activities to meet objectives.
• Make day-to-day operational decisions within authority; escalate as needed.
• Coordinate daily work, communicate objectives, safety, and performance goals.
• Promote teamwork, safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
• Train staff on processes, procedures, and safety requirements.
• Coach and develop associates to improve performance and growth.
• Maintain staffing coverage and schedules with the Warehouse Manager.
• Monitor workflows; resolve bottlenecks and ensure productivity.
• Ensure shipping, receiving, and transfers are properly documented.
