Power Design Inc. in Palmetto, FL is seeking a Lead Receiving Associate to keep our warehouse moving by unloading inbound material, counting and labeling shipments, and ensuring proper put-away.

You will operate forklifts and pallet jacks, communicate with drivers and vendors, and maintain data accuracy in the warehouse management system while supporting a safe, organized dock and helping train new associates.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of warehouse or receiving experience preferred.
• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
• Forklift certification or willingness to become certified.
• Ability to read and interpret long or complex part numbers.
• Intermediate computer skills (Outlook and Excel a plus).
• Strong math skills for counting and verifying material.
• Attention to detail, problem-solving ability, and a team-first mindset.

Responsabilités

• Unload inbound trucks safely and verify shipments.
• Count, label, and tag incoming material; document with purchase orders.
• Assist with put-away to ensure material is stored efficiently and clustered by project.
• Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely.
• Serve as the first point of contact for drivers, carriers, and vendors during deliveries.
• Maintain data accuracy in the warehouse management system and report discrepancies.
• Keep the receiving dock clean, organized, and stocked with supplies.
• Support training of new associates on equipment and processes.
• Flag damaged, missing, or incorrect material and help resolve issues quickly.
• Step in to support supervisor responsibilities during their absence.
• Follow all safety protocols and wear required PPE at all times.
