Job summary

Cardinal Health is seeking a Warehouse Operations leader in Roanoke, TX to supervise a 25-person team on a Tuesday–Saturday shift from 6:00am to 2:30pm or until complete. You will drive on-time distribution, manage productivity metrics, and lead continuous improvement initiatives to optimize receiving, storage, and shipping of products.

Strong Excel and ERP experience are important. The role involves hands-on floor work with significant cross-functional coordination, onboarding and developing

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred; Bachelor’s degree a plus.
• 2-3 years related experience preferred.
• Experience with continuous improvement projects/initiatives.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience leading a team.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Excel (Pivot Tables).
• Experience with ERP systems (SAP or Manhattan) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Direct and manage a team of 25 warehouse associates to ensure timely distribution and receipt of products.
• Monitor productivity standards and enforce daily/weekly/monthly metrics.
• Adhere to budgetary guidelines and meet DC objectives.
• Lead continuous improvement projects (Gemba walks, Kaizen, takt boards).
• Schedule daily work force for staffing and efficiency.
• Coordinate equipment maintenance and repairs.
• Engage in on-going staff development and performance appraisals.
• Balance floor work with administrative duties.
• Collaborate with HR and cross-functional teams.
• Interview and hire for lead and associate levels.
• Maintain disciplinary processes and a productive warehouse climate.
• Prepare ad hoc reports using Excel and other tools.
• Ensure accurate timekeeping and scheduling.
