Cardinal Health is seeking a Warehouse Operations Supervisor in Durham, NC to lead a 20+ person team, ensure timely distribution, monitor productivity, and drive cost-efficient operations. The role emphasizes leadership, safety, and ERP familiarity.

Weekend hours may be required; a high school diploma is preferred, Bachelor’s degree is a plus, with a strong focus on continuous improvement and cross-functional teamwork within a large healthcare logistics environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred; Bachelor’s degree a plus.
• 2-3 years related experience preferred
• Experience with continuous improvement projects
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Experience leading a team
• Experience with ERP systems (SAP or Manhattan) preferred

Responsibilities

• Directs and manages a team of 20+ warehouse associates to achieve timely distribution of products and motivate employees to ensure that predetermined productivity and quality standards are achieved
• Monitors site productivity standards and hold associates accountable to daily, weekly, monthly metrics; provide timely feedback and initiate corrective action process when needed
• Adheres to budgetary guidelines, and works to meet Distribution Center objectives and operational goals while maintaining standards pertaining to quality and inventory
• Drives continuous improvement projects and initiatives
• Performs daily scheduling of the work force to ensure proper staffing to select, replenish, restock and ship merchandise in a productive and cost-efficient manner
• Coordinates maintenance of equipment, guiding both preventive maintenance and coordinating all necessary repairs
• Actively engaged in employee development, which includes training, coaching, counseling, and performance appraisals
• Working on the floor while balancing administrative duties
• Collaborating with cross functional teams at all levels within the organization, specifically within HR groups on a daily basis
• Interviewing and making hiring decisions for lead and associate level roles
• Maintains general responsibility for disciplinary process in the area of counseling, oral and written warnings; ensure a productive work climate in the warehouse operation
• Prepares ad hoc reports, as necessary using Excel (or any other necessary programs)
