Job summary

Wesco in Bakersfield, CA is seeking a Lead Operations Warehouse Associate to supervise daily warehouse activities and support the supervisor with scheduling, receiving, picking, packing, shipping and wire cutting.

You will monitor workflow metrics, perform safety walks, review shipments for quality, and help manage shipping costs while contributing to a team focused on accuracy and efficiency in a fast-paced distribution environment.

Qualifications

• High school degree or equivalent required.
• 3 years of warehouse operations experience required.
• 1-2 years of experience as a Senior Warehouse Associate or similar.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stay on your feet for extended periods.
• Basic computer skills preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform supervisory responsibilities when assigned.
• Monitor workflow metrics and coordinate reporting to and from management.
• Perform daily safety walks and communicate findings to Supervisors.
• Review complex shipments and staged goods prior to shipping for quality.
• Update monthly fuel service charges and shipping cost documents.
