Job summary

Energy Jobline ZR seeks an experienced automation engineer to lead modernization of warehouse operations. You will design and implement automation solutions across conveyors, AS/RS, AMRs/AGVs, and integration with WMS/WCS/ERP systems, ensuring safety and compliance in automotive logistics environments.

You will collaborate with operations, IT/OT, and maintenance teams, develop SOPs and training materials, and guide vendors and integrators from concept through handover, with travel to site as

Qualifications

• High school diploma and an engineering degree.
• Experience transforming manual warehouse operations through automation.
• Hands-on automation project experience in warehouse or distribution environments.
• Knowledge of conveyors, AS/RS, shuttle systems.
• WCS/WMS integration experience is a plus.
• Williness to travel to customer sites and remote locations.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate new automation technologies and determine practical applications for manual operations.
• Stay current on robotics, AI-based picking, vision systems, WCS, and IIoT.
• Design automation solutions for automotive parts environments with mixed SKUs.
• Support JIT and JIS logistics models and improve key metrics.
• Lead end-to-end automation projects from concept to handover.
• Develop SOPs, training materials, and maintenance documentation.
• Train and support operators during transition from manual to automated processes.
• Lead engagement with automation vendors, OEMs, and system integrators.
• Ensure solutions meet safety and automotive compliance requirements.
