Job summary

TFT Global Inc. seeks anAutomation Specialist to lead end-to-end warehouse automation initiatives across our North American network. You will evaluate technologies, design solutions for automotive parts handling, and partner with operations, IT/OT, and maintenance to ensure successful adoption.

The role requires hands-on project execution, ROIs, and collaboration with vendors and customers. Travel to warehouses and client sites will be required as projects progress.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 education with an engineering degree in a relevant field.
• Experience transforming manual warehouse operations through automation.
• Hands-on automation project execution in warehouse/distribution environments.
• Knowledge of conveyors, sortation, AS/RS, shuttle systems.
• Experience with robotics: palletizing, depalletizing, AMRs/AGVs.
• PLCs, WCS, WMS integration familiarity.
• Background in automotive OEM, Tier-1, or 3PL logistics environments.
• Strong ROI modeling and business case development for automation investments.
• Willingness to travel to customer sites and onsite facilities.
• Criminal background check, drug screen, and pre-employment physical.

Responsibilities

• Continuously evaluate new automation technologies and determine practical applications for manual operations.
• Lead end-to-end automation projects from concept through handover.
• Design automation solutions for automotive parts environments (mixed SKUs, high accuracy).
• Support JIT/JIS logistics models and improve dock-to-stock times.
• Coordinate with operations, IT/OT, quality, and maintenance to sustain automation.
• Develop SOPs and training materials for new systems.
• Lead vendor engagements and evaluate proposals, layouts, and simulations.
• Ensure compliance with safety and automotive customer requirements.

Education

Engineering degree (Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, Industrial, Manufacturing)
