Job summary

Realign Llc seeks a Warehouse Design and Automation Engineer to lead design and deployment of automation solutions for warehouse operations from concept through commissioning.

Role requires strong experience in ASRS/VNA, robotics, AMRs/AGVs, and vision systems, with lean manufacturing and simulation skills. You will coordinate with OEMs globally and ensure safety and regulatory compliance during implementation.

Qualifications

• Good experience in warehouse design and automation solutions including ASRS for VNA, automation in put-away/picking, conveying systems.
• Familiar with robots, cobots, AMRs/AGVs and vision systems.
• Hands-on in application engineering and deployment of converting line automation, leveraging AGVs/AMRs, cobots, or vision systems.
• Knowledge of advanced robotics technologies like haptics, teleoperation, and human-robot collaboration.
• Understanding of jumbo rolls storage and related packaging/storage handling practices.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing, value stream mapping, and continuous improvement.
• Ability to model and simulate inputs for modeling/simulation SMEs and interpret results.
• Understanding of plant IT/enterprise systems (WMS/WES/WCS) and integration needs.
• Drives results under tough circumstances and facilitates equipment procurement.
• Manage installation/commissioning and coordination with contractors.

Responsibilities

• Warehouse design/re-design including capacity calculations and technology selection.
• Design automation solutions for warehouse operations from concept to commissioning.
• Collaborate with project managers, fabrication teams, and plant personnel.
• Implement designs meeting safety requirements and regulatory needs.
• Define scope, cost estimates, and schedules.
• Manage projects to meet scope, cost, and timelines.
• Coordinate with OEM suppliers in US, Europe, and India for automation systems.
• Provide technical support post-deployment including troubleshooting.
