White Cap is seeking a Lead Warehouse Associate in Stamford, CT to supervise warehouse operations, train junior staff, and ensure accurate loading, packing, and shipping of products. The role involves forklift use, yard work, and adherence to safety and process standards.

Qualifications

• Experience in warehouse roles with loading/unloading, packing, and shipping.
• Forklift operation experience and safety training.
• Ability to stand, walk, or bend for full shifts and lift 40–50 pounds.
• Spanish language proficiency is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Coaches and trains junior warehouse associates on proper process and procedure.
• Safely operates a forklift to load, unload, and move merchandise.
• Picks, packs, and ships products to customers.
• Receives, counts, and records shipment information into the system.
• May work inside the warehouse or outside in the yard.
• Lifts and carries material up to 50 pounds.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Generally has 5-7 years of experience in area of responsibility.

A Warehouse Associate at White Cap…

Preferred Qualifications

• Ability to work Monday - Friday from 7 AM - 4 PM
• Inventory Management: Knowledge of stock rotation, cycle counting, discrepancy resolution, and shipping/receiving accuracy.
• Ability to stand, walk, or bend for full shifts and safely lift or carry items typically ranging from 40 to 50 pounds.
• Ability to readily identify specialized construction products by material, grade, type, and dimensions.
• Willingness to shifts standing on concrete floors across variable, non-climate-controlled environments, including completely outdoor lumber and structural steel yards through all seasonal weather conditions
• Forklift experience
• Familiarity with hand and power tools
• Attention to detail
• Spanish language proficiency
