Job summary

White Cap is hiring immediately for a Lead Warehouse Associate in Connecticut. The role involves coaching junior warehouse staff, safely operating a forklift, and handling shipping/receiving duties. Physical work includes lifting up to 50 pounds and potential yard work, with a 7 AM–4 PM schedule.

Responsibilities

• Coaches and trains junior warehouse associates on proper process and procedure.
• Safely operates a forklift to load, unload, and move merchandise.
• Picks, packs, and ships products to customers.
• Receives, counts, and records shipment information into the system.
• May work inside the warehouse or outside in the yard.
• Lifts and carries material up to 50 pounds.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Generally has 5-7 years of experience in area of responsibility.

Preferred Qualifications

• Ability to work Monday - Friday from 7 AM - 4 PM
• Inventory Management: Knowledge of stock rotation, cycle counting, discrepancy resolution, and shipping/receiving accuracy.
• Ability to stand, walk, or bend for full shifts and safely lift or carry items typically ranging from 40 to 50 pounds.
• Ability to readily identify specialized construction products by material, grade, type, and dimensions.
• Willingness to shifts standing on concrete floors across variable, non-climate-controlled environments, including completely outdoor lumber and structural steel yards through all seasonal weather conditions
• Forklift experience
• Familiarity with hand and power tools
• Attention to detail
• Spanish language proficiency

Pay Range

For Connecticut job seekers: Pay Range $21.00-$28.90 Hourly Connecticut law requires the posting of the salary range for advertised jobs. This range is determined based on market data and internal pay practices to establish a minimum and maximum value for a job. Individual base pay is determined based on a variety of elements including experience, skills, internal equity and other factors.
