Job summary

Small Door seeks an experienced veterinary leader to oversee clinical operations and clinician development. You will mentor doctors, ensure high-quality patient care, and maintain exceptional client experiences across our Boston clinic.

You will lead a collaborative team, manage scheduling and regulatory compliance, and partner with leadership to drive growth and uphold our hospitality standards in every interaction.

Qualifications

• DVM or equivalent with an active state license
• 5+ years of clinical veterinary experience
• Proven leadership and mentoring capabilities
• Commitment to high medical standards and ethics

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and treat pets and counsel clients on care
• Directly manage and develop a team of 1–5 doctors
• Recruit, onboard, and retain veterinary talent
• Coordinate doctor scheduling to ensure clinical coverage
• Uphold Small Door culture, hospitality, and client satisfaction
• Serve as clinical point of contact for medical questions
• Ensure access to services and maintain budget targets
• Oversee compliance with DEA, OSHA, and medical protocols
