Job summary

Blue Bird Corporation is seeking a Principal Integration & Vehicle Architecture Engineer to own vehicle architecture across platforms, guiding interfaces and design rules from concept to production. You will lead cross‑functional teams in chassis, body, powertrain, and electrical systems to ensure high‑performance, manufacturable results.

The role requires a senior engineer with autonomy, strong trade‑offs expertise, and experience with external vendors and DMU processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, automotive, or systems engineering.
• 5+ years in automotive or commercial vehicle manufacturing, with product design or packaging focus.
• US citizenship or permanent residency required.

Responsibilities

• Define and own vehicle architecture from scratch, with system boundaries and interfaces.
• Lead packaging and envelope to enable manufacturable, serviceable design.
• Drive integration from prototype to production, coordinating across cross‑functional teams.
