Job summary

Blue Bird Corporation seeks a Principal Integration & Vehicle Architecture Engineer to own vehicle-level integration and architecture across platforms. You will define the structural, spatial, and functional framework for how major systems interact, spanning chassis, body, powertrain and electrical systems.

You will lead cross-functional teams, drive critical trade‑offs on performance, cost and manufacturability, and manage the Digital Mock-Up (DMU) process to ensure clash‑free, production‑ready

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, automotive, or systems engineering.
• 5+ years in automotive or commercial vehicle manufacturing; product design or packaging focus.
• US citizen or permanent resident required.

Responsibilities

• Define and own the vehicle architecture from a blank slate.
• Lead integration across chassis, body, powertrain, and electrical systems.
• Own DMU process; ensure clash-free, production-ready designs.
• Interface definition and control across domains.
• Drive system trade-offs for performance, cost, weight, manufacturability.
• Lead cross-functional teams and coordinate with suppliers.
